Hyundai Motor Company is showcasing three of its latest eco-focused models: The IONIQ Electric, IONIQ Hybrid and IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), running until January 22.

The appearance is an important step in Hyundai's global rollout of the IONIQ and the carmaker's ambitions for environmentally sustainable transport. The range has been engineered to broaden the mainstream appeal of hybrid and electric vehicles.
Detroit is North America's most important motor show, and one of the most significant industry events worldwide. Already selling strongly in Europe, the IONIQ is now arriving in its first Middle East Markets.

Mike Song, Hyundai's head of operations for Africa and the Middle East, said, 'IONIQ will attract an entirely new group of eco- and efficiency-oriented buyers. With outstanding powertrain flexibility, design, connectivity and advanced technologies, IONIQ meets the needs of a large and growing group of buyers needing a highly efficient, low-emission vehicle without compromise to their daily lifestyles.'

The IONIQ is the only car in the industry to offer a choice of three electrified powertrain options within a single platform.

Hyundai's vehicle list, including speciality vehicles and feature vehicles, for the NAIAS show includes the 2017 IONIQ Electric, 2017 IONIQ Hybrid Electric Vehicle, IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle and IONIQ Autonomous Vehicle and the 2017 Elantra Sport, as part of a special display. Also on display are US versions of the 2017 Accent, Azera, Elantra, Elantra GT, Santa Fe Sport, Santa Fe, Sonata 2.0T, Sonata Plug-in Hybrid, Tucson and Veloster Turbo.
